Hans Mark, has been a consultant in Plastic surgery in Sweden since 1997, and did a Fellowship at Bernard O’Brian Institute of Microsurgery, Melbourne, Australien 1999 and was then Head of Microsurgery, Department of Plastic Surgery, Sahlgrenska  University Hospital,  Göteborg. He has been National Liason, WSRM, World Society Reconstructive Microsurgery. In 2004 he finished a PhD degree in Gothenburg University in ¨Experimental Studies on fracture healing. Biological and biomechanical aspects¨ He was also the director of studies in Plastic surgery, Sahlgrenska University Hospital between 2006 and 2010 and he is a Senior Surgeon.

Since 2011 he is Head of Cleft-Lip and Palate team, Sahlgrenska Univeristy Hospital in Gothenburg and since 2017 Associate Professor at Department of Plastic Surgery , Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Institute of Clinical Sciences at Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He has been a board member of Swedish Association of Plastic Surgeons and Swedish Association of Cleft Surgeons as well as President of 10th European Craniofacial Congress, 2015 and is since then Vice President, European Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association, ECPCA. He is also representative in ERN, European reference network as well as ECCE, European Cleft and Craniofacial initiative for Equality in Care. He is a member of Operation Smile and is in involved in several cleft care program in India, Indonesia and Rumania. He is also a partner of the private practice in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Akademikliniken, Sweden and is a member of Swedish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery since 20 years.
